Garnet Trust, the officially NIL collective of University of South Carolina athletics, is embarking on an amazing journey toward building every athletics program at Carolina to a championship level. We invite you to explore what we do and join us.

Our Mission

We are on a mission to create the nation’s premier name, image and likeness collective here at the University of South Carolina. We help student athletes find their voice and establish their brand in addition to providing significant financial opportunities, which supports overall competitiveness across the board. Garnet Trust is supported by our low-dollar membership base and financial initiatives (fundraisers) and has the lowest overhead expense (less than 10 percent) of any NIL collective among South Carolina’s peer institutions. We have two full-time employees and a host of interns and volunteers that make the magic happen. Thanks to the leadership in the athletics department during the past two decades, student athletes at the University of South Carolina already have a first class experience during their time in Columbia. A large part of the Garnet Trust mission is to not only support that, but to lay the groundwork for a “championship level” experience by being a Gamecock. The Southeastern Conference is the most competitive athletics league in the world and we reject any notion that South Carolina cannot get to the top and be the best of the best. A big part of that is having an unrivaled NIL program.

Crafting Brands

A fundamental purpose of NIL is to give student athletes the opportunity to create and benefit from their personal brand. Garnet Trust works with business and media partners as well as the student athletes directly to support those efforts in addition to securing financial benefits.

Creating Experiences

We do not believe that fans should simply pay money into an NIL collective and not get any benefit in return. We recently launched new membership levels and benefits and have a track record of creating first class experiences for our members and the Gamecock Nation at large. Elevating Media

We have extensive connections through our media partners including television, radio, digital and print and work tirelessly to connect fans, brands and student athletes with significant opportunities.

Support the Cause

Gamecock Nation, we need you. This is the first time in the history of college athletics where your financial support directly impacts the quality of the Gamecock rosters across all sports, including football, baseball, basketball (both teams), softball, soccer and the others. The best part about it is that there is a plan for all budget levels. We believe that any supporter that joins regardless of price point is important and can personally have a stake in the moment when the ticker tape falls on the South Carolina Gamecocks after a College Football Playoff title game victory or a win Monday night at the Final Four. We have already experienced the dogpile in Omaha for baseball and head coach Dawn Staley and her program have won three National Championships and had one of the best women’s basketball teams in the history of the sport last season, going 39-0 and winning it all.
